We want to thank you for visiting our web page and taking the time to get to know us here at Pond Pit BBQ. We are a husband and wife team, Chris and Jen Harvey, who started our business in 2019. Chris built our first smoker with his friend, Johnny; it can cook 140 halves of chicken in 45 minutes. Yes, that’s correct, 45 minutes! We spent a lot of time developing the perfect brine for our chicken. Once we found the right blend, we began taking on catering jobs and pop-up locations. We expanded our menu, adding ribs, pulled pork, and brisket, as well as our own homemade recipes for side dishes. The previous owner of our now restaurant location allowed us to do their chicken BBQ. It became pretty popular, and they asked if we wanted to buy the restaurant.

This part is funny... Chris said yes and then came home to tell me he bought it. “Honey, I bought a bar.” I thought he was joking, but no, he was not. It took over a year to remodel the restaurant and bar to what it is today. We have a small, cozy establishment.

Our restaurant is probably a different concept than most people are used to. We have no wait staff. We have an order window where you come up, place your order, and pick up your food when it’s ready.

We offer a full bar with a team of some of the best bartenders in the area. We offer seasonal beer on tap, along with other options. We also have seasonal cocktails; just ask your bartender what’s on special.

BBQ is a low and slow process. We have learned over the years to cook in quantities to match the amount of patrons visiting. However, we can run out of food items. Which is the nature of BBQ. Summer is our busy season, and we recommend calling us to make sure we are fully stocked.

You will also see from our menu that we offer a wide variety of sandwiches and snacks.
